Jane

Jane

Jane Pratt is the visionary behind xoJane.com, one of the fastest-growing and most provocative women's websites. At the age of 24, Pratt launched Sassy, a magazine for teenage girls, and, in doing so, became the youngest editor-in-chief ever of a national magazine. Pratt left the teen title to launch JANE magazine, a lifestyle magazine for women 18 to 34, which debuted in 1997. JANE was nominated for a National Magazine Award for General Excellence by the American Society of Magazine Editors, and Pratt was named "Editor of the Year" in 2002 by Adweek magazine. While still at Sassy, Pratt hosted her eponymous daytime talk show, Jane, on the Fox television network. Pratt then went on to host The Jane Pratt Show on Lifetime. She currently hosts the Sirius XM talk show Jane Radio and is editor-in-chief and founder of xoJane.com, xoJane.co.uk, and now xoVain.com. She was recently recognized as one of the most influential women in advertising by Ad Age and xoJane was named a Top 100 Website for Women by Forbes.
Marci

Marci

Marci Robin is the beauty director of xoVain. After graduating with a BA in creative writing from Florida State University (which, she swears, has some of the top-ranked arts programs), she moved to the city of her birth, New York, for an internship at The Late Show With David Letterman and eventually broke into editorial work by auctioning herself on eBay as an editorial assistant. She's been in the online content racket with a focus on beauty for the last decade, serving as associate editor at Alloy.com and, after moving back to Florida for a while, senior online editor at NewBeauty magazine. Florida's not her jam, though, so she now lives in Brooklyn with her two shelter dogs (proof she's a good person), Max and Rufus (which are also her dead grandfathers' names).
Annie

Annie

Annie is a burgeoning child beauty editor prodigy from Texas. She has zero experience in the beauty industry, other than floating to the top of the pitches pool for the xoJane.com editorial team, where she began contributing in the beauty section in August 2012. She was masquerading as an artist at the time and didn’t know what to do with her life. So this should be fun watching her try to figure out the whole “beauty editor” thing. She’s covered fashion at New York Fashion Week and Paris Haute Couture Week and has worked for big-time fashion designers like Alexander Wang. Her zine, Wet Mattress, covering the topics of art, sex, and music, debuted in July 2012. That was the only issue, but people seemed to like it. She served a brief stint as drummer for the all-girl garage rock-slash-R&B band, The Sasstronauts, but the trio had a nasty falling out after coming to the hard realization that none of them owned any instruments.
Hannah

Hannah

Hannah Johnson is a Libra of an indistinguishable age who started her blog, An Aesthetic Feast, in the Fall of 2008, and was hired for xoJane.com in January of 2011. Additionally, she writes for ROOKIE and has a monthly column in FLARE magazine. She will graduate from college in June 2013 with an acting degree. She strongly dislikes talking about herself in the third person and will stop everything she's doing any time Joaquin Phoenix is on TV. She also really likes Mexican food and her favourite animal is the polar bear.
