Sometimes adulthood is boring and hard, so I seek refuge in anything that reminds me of being a kid. It doesn't have to be a big thing; something small, like a fun beauty product, is enough to help me relax and feel like a kid again for a few moments.

Possibly the best product for this is Lush Shower Jellies. They've actually been around since 2006, but I only just heard about them a few weeks ago when Refinery29 posted about them possibly becoming the next big internet sensation. I immediately knew I had to get my hands on them and attempt my first-ever gifs.

The Shower Jellies currently come in four varieties: Refresher, Whoosh, Needles & Pines, and 93,000 Miles. Each one has a unique scent and natural ingredients, including seaweed extract, which is great for softening the skin.

Refresher was my favorite. I love the golden color and the zesty citrus fragrance.

The scent of Whoosh is refreshing and invigorating. It contains lemon, lime, and rosemary, and is meant to help give you extra energy when you're tired or stressed out.

I think Needles & Pines was my second favorite, scent-wise. It has cedarwood oil and a pine-needle and cypress leaf infusion, making it smell fresh, woodsy, and sexy in a rather masculine kind of way.

93,000 Miles had my least favorite scent, which isn't surprising because I'm not a big fan of eucalyptus. It's definitely very fresh and minty-smelling, so if you don't mind eucalyptus then you'll probably like this. Also, this one is supposed to do wonders for aching muscles.

Now for a few tips on how to use these. I found that the easiest way to use each Jelly was to break off one tiny piece to use at a time. Then you just lather it up in between your palms as much as you can before it inevitably jumps out of your slippery hands and lands on the ground. Yep, it can be a little tricky at first because they really are very Jell-O like, so it's hard to keep control of these suckers. That's part of the fun, though!

Besides, it's worth it because they really do work. They lather up really well, they made my skin feel soft and smell great, and you can even use them on your hair (although for obvious reasons I haven't really tried that yet).

Best of all, I definitely felt like a kid again for the ten minutes that I spent playing with these in the shower.
