I tend to lean on products that remove my makeup and make my face feel clean in one shot.

I used to be the worst when it came to washing my makeup off at the end of the day/night. I always stay out until I’m too tired (which, now, is basically any time after 8 p.m.) so by the time I get home, I usually just want to crash. However, I never skip taking my makeup off now because I have learned the error of my ways (through painful breakouts).

Since I’m still lazy, though, I tend to lean on products that get the job of removing my makeup and making my face feel clean in one shot.

For when I’m feeling mildly lazy

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Cleanser

This bottle is bigger than I usually get, so I'll probably be working through this all year.

I’ve been down for this cleanser for the last two years or so, and it is my go-to when I’m too lazy for a double cleanse. Until recently, I had yet to find a cleanser that cuts through makeup as well as this does.

It seriously takes me at least six months to get through a small bottle of this because I can use less than a quarter-sized dollop and get all of my makeup off in one wash. The texture is pretty creamy but it’s not as heavy as a cleansing balm.

I also like that my face doesn’t feel super-dry and tight when I use this. I do have to be a little careful when I’m working this around the eye area, but I still use it to get eye makeup off.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

Pardon the weird dots on my hand. I was practicing my freckle-making for LOTW.

The name, Milky Jelly, pretty much says it all as far as the texture goes as it is both milky and jelly-like (seriously, I don’t know how else to explain it). It dissolves makeup like a champ, but I do have to use a bit more of it to get all my makeup off than I do with the Philosophy cleanser.

This cleanser has almost no detectable fragrance (rosewater is a component so there is a slight hint of that there) and it's gentle enough that I can actually rub it on my eyes without taking care to not get it in my eyes. I actually put a glob on one of my eyes and went to town rubbing my makeup off and it didn’t burn at all. I tend to use this one more when I have heavier eye makeup because I know it’s so gentle for that area.

My skin also feels really smooth after I use it, which I love.

For when I really can’t be bothered

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleansing Cloths

I love that the pack snaps close; it keeps the wipes nice and fresh.

I really like to travel with these wipes because they cut down on the amount of liquids I have to drag with me in my carry-on, and I think they do a great job of taking all of my makeup off and leaving my skin feeling refreshed.

They have the same scent as the cleanser (which is really mild) and the cloths have a little bit of texture, which I find makes my face feel cleaner.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

Clearly a well-loved package!

I’ve tried a lot of drugstore makeup-remover wipes and, for me, these are the best. When I get home and I’m too tired to go through my full routine before bed, I reach for these (which are conveniently located at my bedside) and take everything on my face before passing out.

While I wouldn’t advise using these as an everyday solution (they can leave a bit of oiliness behind), these are perfect when you really don’t want to deal with taking your makeup off.
