I think we can all agree that there's nothing more annoying than buying an amazing-smelling body wash only to later learn that the scent doesn't linger on your skin. Sure, it smells great in the shower, but afterward it's gone without a trace. Why even shower, am I right?
So you can guess how excited I was to try the Caress Forever Collection, fortified with "the world's first fragrance touch technology." The claim: The product releases a burst of fragrance every time you touch your skin for up to 12 hours after use. Pretty cool, right? If it works.
I took both fragrances, Adore Forever and Love Forever, into the shower and lathered up. In the interest of science and all that, I used Adore on the right side of my body and Love on the left side so I could determine whether one works better than the other. (Love might be a little stronger.)
Then I went about my day: doing some writing, taking the dog for a walk, and demanding that everyone I see touch my skin and then sniff it. You know, as one does.
At first I was expecting, like, cartoon clouds of perfume to seep out and whack me in the face with their scent. Obviously the effect isn't THAT dramatic. It's actually really hard to determine how much the scent reacts to touch. I'd say it strengthens the scent somewhat, but I could just be imagining it.
That said, the fragrance of this body wash really does last. It lasts all day, all night, and into the next morning. I woke up the day after showering with the Caress Forever body wash and, half asleep, wondered what pleasant scent had replaced my usual morning B.O. Oh yeah, it was this stuff.
This is a body wash that not only smells nice, but won't let you forget it. I kept catching whiffs of it for two days, even while driving all bundled up in a coat.
Both varieties have a nice floral fragrance, but I prefer the Love Forever scent a little more. I also like the Love Forever body wash more because it's a darker red-purple color. But they're both extremely pretty.
And it's pretty fun in the shower because I like to pretend that the thick red gloop of the Love Forever Body Wash is blood.
The consistency of this body wash is seriously thick and gloopy, which I find extremely satisfying. (I guess it's pretty moisturizing, too. That's also important.)
The Caress Forever Collection will be available for $4 at drugstores and mass retailers on February 14th--just in time for Valentine's Day. If you have a hot date planned and think you might need something to keep you smelling nice all the way through to the morning after, pick one of these up and thank me later.
Plus, it will give you a great excuse to order your V-Day date to touch you. You know, just to see if your new body wash works.
- Will you try this body wash? Can we agree that a truly long-lasting body wash fragrance is a unicorn?
- Any hot dates planned for V-Day?
