Sometimes the simplest touches make the biggest impact.

Me again! Our favorite look from New York Fashion Week day 3? This one from Tibi. DaMonica's notes below:

A Cooler Way To Pull Back Long Hair

Tibi's collection was inspired by Japanese culture, so Frank Rizzieri for Aveda wanted to complement it by giving the hair a sleek, architectural look. He pulled it back, teased the sides, and secured them away from the face using an elastic band with hooks on both ends. The bands matched the color of the models' hair. A nice break from the endless parade of low ponytails NYFW has been serving up so far.

Shibori Print Nails

Sorry for the blurry shot--I had to grab this fast because I was getting kicked out of backstage.

The nails were inspired by a soft, woven Shibori print. Jin Soon used her textured polish, Georgette (a light creamy beige), launching later this month, as the base. Then she accented one nail with black leatherette stitches vertically down the middle using Chamonix, also launching later this month.
