We are at the last day of NYFW! (It officially ends tonight with Marc Jacobs; livestream the show here at 6 PM EST, which is almost as good as being there, depending on how good your Internet connection is.) That went so fast, didn't it? But we couldn't not fill you in on three eye-popping trends we spotted over the last 24 hours.
Glitter Eyes at Anna Sui
Sui's show was heavily inspired by glam rock, so it makes sense that the eye look would be equally psychedelic. Pat McGrath for CoverGirl dabbed glitter (pink or gold, depending on the model) on the center of the eyelids, under the center of eyes, and on the inner corners, and kept the rest of the face mostly bare.
Twisted Knots at Marc by Marc Jacobs
Also drawing on music culture as inspiration (in this case, a little Björk-ian), Guido for Redken said that 80s rave culture was behind this knotted style. And it's pretty easy to do: Part your hair into four sections, put sections into ponytails, twist each one into knots, and secure with bobby pins.
FKA Twigs-Inspired Hair at The Blonds
Baby hairs once again made an appearance, this time at The Blonds, where hairstylist Nick Irwin for Catwalk by Tigi said this over-the-top "gangsta genie" (his description--oy) style was inspired by FKA Twigs.
And that's a wrap, NYFW. If we see anything newsworthy in London, Milan, or Paris, we'll definitely let you know....
