Exactly two weeks ago, I complimented Olivia on her gorgeous minty, metallic manicure that completely justifies alliteration. She went to our very own Brooklyn nail art doyenne, Claire, who used OPI Mermaid Tears on the whole nail and polish made with actual silver, by MINE Luxury Nail Lacquer, at the base.
Then, last week, I said something along the lines of, "Damn, I really do like that manicure."
Yesterday, at our weekly XO staff meeting, I noticed it was still going strong, with minimal chippage.
I asked Olivia the secret to her endurance.
"I don't do much manual labor," she said.
But if not doing heavy lifting were the secret to making a manicure look so good for so long, my manicures wouldn't look a million times as marred three days in.
So today's Quick Question: What's the longest you've gotten a manicure to last? What do you think was the key to its longevity? Don't you want Claire to do your nails now?
