I have a theory that I’m basically just late to life. I could get up two hours before I have to be somewhere and still find myself rushing to get out the door 10 minutes before I need to be there.
Since I’m well-established in the world of lateness, I am also well-versed in how to make it look like I’ve made an effort with my makeup when I only have less than 10 minutes to get it done.
I’m a big fan of warm-toned makeup but there is something about cool-toned colors that just looks really polished to me, so that's where we're going with this week's look.
After priming my lids, I applied a cool taupe shadow all over my mobile lid.
With a fluffy blending brush, I then took a matte, brown-leaning taupe shadow and worked into and just above my crease.
Next, I took a shimmery, dark purple shadow on an angled liner brush and used it to line my upper lash line.
After I applied my foundation and concealer, I lined my lower lash line with the same shadow I used on my upper lash line.
I finished the eyes off with mascara and brow pencil.
For the rest of the look, I kept it simple with a cool, soft pink blush and matching lipstick.
Here are my favorite looks from last week:
