I'm feeling icky. Iridescent eyeshadow should help.

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather the last few days and I’m not sure if it’s just allergies or if I’m coming down with something. At any rate, when I’m down in the dumps, I like to perk myself up by doing something fun with my makeup.

After I primed my lids, I applied an iridescent purple shadow with a concealer brush. Since the bristles are packed so tightly, it really packs the color on the lid.

I didn't realize until after I did this that this shadow is a little difficult to track down. It's Angel Purple and it's a part of the Sebastian Trucco Holographic Angel Eyes Palette. Any iridescent shade will work, though!

I used the edge of the same concealer brush to line my lower lash line softly with the same iridescent shadow.

I didn't put it on as intensely under the eyes.

I didn’t want to get overly complicated with the eyes (as I was not feeling so hot) so I finished them off with a light coat of black mascara and by filling in my brows.

Nothing too fancy; just fun!

In keeping with the glowing theme (and being partially inspired by Morgan’s strobing article) I wanted to highlight my face a little more than usual. I started by applying a rose gold highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones and above my brows.

Next, I took a pale gold highlighter down the center of my nose and just above my cupid’s bow. After I placed the highlighter, I applied a lightweight base (Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in Dark) all over my face with my fingers and then applied concealer as needed.

I set every my face with setting powder and then lightly dusted over my entire face with Radiant Light from my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette for added glow.

For my lips I lightly applied a “your lips but better” lipstick shade and topped with a clear gloss.

A little pixie fun!
