Whether your holiday shopping style is “buy everything a year in advance” or “Oh my God, [insert your gift-giving holiday here] is this week!”, finding the perfect gift for the beauty obsessed can be tricky. I’m saving you some time by putting together a list of my favorite palettes and gift sets to give this holiday season--no matter what your budget is.
If You Have $6
This e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($6) is a total steal. My favorite of the group is the Natural palette because it’s a great low budget alternative to Urban Decay's Naked 1 and 2 palettes. e.l.f. products are often hit or miss for me in terms of quality, but this has some pretty great pigmentation without being too chalky; worn over primer, these shadows pack some extra punch.
If You Have $14
I think The Body Shop Mini Lotion Collection ($14) absolutely nails it when it comes to hydrating dry skin. The set contains four sample-size lotions, including Shea, Coconut, Moringa, and Satsuma. The body shop formulas excel at keeping your skin soft and smooth, and they smell absolutely fantastic.
If You Have $18
This Real Techniques Travel Essentials Kit ($18) covers your basic brush needs for a weekend away or for a full-fledged vacation. I’m a huge Real Techniques devotee because they offer high quality brushes for a reasonable price. Included in the set is a basic foundation brush, a multi-purpose brush (I use mine for blush or highlighter), and an eye shader brush.
If You Have $18 To Spend On A Dude
You may have some men on your list who either are into skin care or who you’re trying to subtly introduce to skin care. For this, I think the Kiehl’s Dry-Relief Duo ($18) is perfect. It’s a no-frills set that includes an intense hand cream and lip balm for chapped skin relief.
If You Have $22
If you have a beauty novice in your life, gift them with the NYX Box of Smokey Look Collection ($22). This one-stop shop has everything a newbie needs to start experimenting, including plenty of shadows, three face powders (for bronzing, highlighting, and contouring), three blushes, 16 lip colors, 12 cream glitters, and one black eyeliner.
If You Have $39
The Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash ($39) includes six minis of UD’s ever popular Revolution Lipsticks, including 3 shades exclusive to this sampling. What I really enjoy about this is that it has a decent range of shades from neutral to deep red, allowing the recipient of this gift the opportunity to find a favorite without having to commit to a full size. They also include a full size anti-feathering clear lip liner to help keep those outer edges clean.
If You Have $45
For your friend who likes supporting small, independent brands, look no further than Long Winter Soap Co. In addition to having absolutely lovely perfume oils, they carry handmade soaps and lip balms. Can’t decide which to buy? Purchase this Long Winter Soap Co. Four Seasons of Balm Subscription (they have a similar deal for the soaps as well). A one-time payment of $45 buys 12 lip balms over the course of four seasonal shipments. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
If You Have $58
The Floss Gloss Babe Set ($58), is a perfect combination of neutral, classic, and fun, 3-free polish shades (eight total) for the nail-obsessed. Can you guess which one is "Gangsta Boo"?
If You Have $65
Purchasing fragrance can be difficult because each person’s body chemistry is so unique. But you literally can't go wrong with the Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler ($65). This gift set includes 14 samples of Sephora’s best-selling fragrances AND a $60 gift card redeemable for a full-size bottle of one of the featured samples.
