The only thing better than a portable product is a multitasking one.

My purse is always full of a generous assortment of random beauty items that get rotated out on at least weekly basis. There's a small handful of double-duty items that I always have on hand, though, to keep my makeup, hair, and skin looking fresh throughout the day.

Translucent Powder

Tarte Smooth Operator Finishing Powder

I like pressed formulas as well, but this loose formula pulls double-duty

I typically keep pressed powder on hand for convenience sake, however I recently shattered my Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder compact and started carrying this sample-size Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder

I like having translucent powder on hand to soak up excess oil on my face mid-day, but I’ve also found that the loose powder has been a great volume booster for my hair. I sprinkle a little at my roots and massage it in and it gives my hair a little lift.

Cream Blush

Colour Pop Blush

Colour Pop Blush in Cheerio; stays on my cheeks all day!

I like both stick and pot formulas but I’ve really been loving ColourPop blushes for my purse. Sometimes I don’t have enough time in the morning to do full makeup and if I’m meeting someone after work for dinner and I want to spruce things up a bit I’ll smudge a little of this on my lids and press it into my lips for a stained effect.

Lip Balm

Dior Creme de rose

Dior Crème de Rose is my favorite balm of the moment, but I also keep Glossier Balm Dot Com and classic Chaptick on hand as well!

I wear a lot of matte lipstick in general so it’s essential for me to keep my lips well hydrated with a nice moisturizing balm or salve. In addition to using this on my lips, I dab a little on my cuticles and massage it in to keep my nails looking neat.

Brow Pencil

Anastasia Brow Whiz

This skinny pencil is the perfect purse size!

I am an Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz believer for sure; I love that the pencil is a twist-up crayon and not too hard like some other formulas. I don’t wear liner much anymore, but if I want to add a little more dimension to my look, this pencil doubles as a brow filler and a liner.
