I'm calling in some help from a few gorgeous blogger friends for this one.

Picking the right lipstick can be so time consuming! Have you ever found yourself walking up and down the aisles of a beauty store, over and over again, only to stare at the same lip colors? I’m big on drugstore beauty, so you can catch me doing this at Walgreens all of the time.

If you don't want to shop aimlessly for lipstick, there is a more targeted way to go about your search. Basically, I've found that there are three similar shades of bold and beautiful lipstick that look good on just about every skin tone (in my humble opinion).

1. Rich Red. Look for reds with pink and brown undertones, as they're flattering to most all skin tones. I can't recall ever seeing someone look bad with classic red lips.

2. Medium to Bold Pink. C’mon, Barbie, let’s go party. Pink is a great way to perk up any face.

3. Mandarin-ish Orange. Not only is this great for summer, you can also wear it into early fall. I see celebrities like Ciara, Coco Rocha, and Jennifer Hudson--diverse beauties with different complexion colors--wearing orange a lot.

It's one thing to say something, and it's something else entirely to show it. So I'm showing you! I called upon my gorgeous girlfriends, Christine Tsang and Kelly Augustine, to rock some great pink, red, and orange shades.

Nubia Mejia (that's me!)

Why do you enjoy wearing these lip colors? Red makes me think of Marilyn Monroe, and that makes me feel instantly glamorous. Pink lipstick makes me feel girly and quirky. I love orange in clothing, makeup, and home decor.

What lipstick dos and don'ts would you give to others with your same skin tone? My best advice is to walk with your head up high and own whatever color you wear. Confidence makes anything look good. And always swatch on the inside of your arm before you buy.

Which of these colors do you wear most often? Classic red. My go-to look when I’m in a rush is bold brows, mascara and red lips. BOOM.

Christine Tsang, of the travel and style blog Tineey.com

Why do you enjoy wearing these lip colors? Red makes me feel fancy. Pink makes me feel girly. Orange kind of makes me feel out of the box.

What lipstick dos and don'ts would you give to others with your same skin tone? Always go with the right tone--cool or warm--for your skin tone.

Which of these colors do you wear most often? I always end up wearing various shades of pink! I think it compliments me the most. I save red for special occasions.

Kelly Augustine, of plus-size fashion and lifestyle blog kellyaugustine.com

Why do you enjoy wearing these lip colors? I enjoy these lip colors because I love to be bold and make a statement! Nothing takes a full look from blah to beautiful like a strong lip color.

What lipstick dos and don'ts would you give to others with your same skin tone? For ladies with my skin complexion looking to go bold with their lips, I recommend going for highly saturated color formulas. Don't be afraid to experiment with different hues! Reds, pinks, and purples look incredible on any brown skin tone.

Which of these colors do you wear most often? I'm a tried and true classic red girl.

After examining all of our photos closely, I think if we swapped lipsticks with one another we’d look just as amazing. These are all bold and beautiful shades that are pretty similar and look nice on our different skin tones. Don't be afraid to experiment!

Now I open the floor to you ladies. Tell me about your skin tone and the colors that work for you. What shade are you wearing right now, as in, this very moment?
