We've all made beauty mistakes. EVEN ME, YOU GUYS. Shocking, I know.

Whether we didn't know we had an Alfala-style piece of hair sticking up for hours or we had streaks of poorly blended self-tanner on our limbs, it happens to the best of us. I mean, how many times have celebrities been seen with loads of unblended white powder under their eyes? And celebrities are the best of us, right?!

But let's not pretend stars are the only ones whose beauty blunders have been captured on film.

My mom has been scanning all of our family's old photos, and while it was inevitable to see some questionable, trend-inspired beauty choices--hello, 6th grade bangs--I was surprised to find that a timeless makeup mistake was caught on camera.

Check it out:

Let's ignore the shapeless haircut and too-dark lip/eye combo, shall we?

At age 20, I rang in 2000 with good friends and terrible concealer.

It's really not the product's fault. I had chosen a color that was way too light, and I applied it on my blemishes dead-last; not just after foundation (which is fine when the color is right), but after blush. WHAT WAS I THINKING?

I've seen other photos from that night, and it's not nearly as obvious.

You can't see the spots here, but you sure can see the French-tip acrylics.

But oof. I had forgotten about that photo, but I clearly learned somewhere along the way that super-light concealer is not the way to cover dark and/or red spots.

So, now that I've shown you the reason I probably didn't hook up that New Year's Eve, Quick Question: What's the biggest beauty blunder you've ever made ON CAMERA? Bonus points if you share the photo in the comments!
