Happy Friday, everyone! Oh my god I'm so excited about today's video, which combines some of my favorite things: dramatic eyeliner, large knives, and Taylor Swift. Yep, it's a look inspired by the gorgeous craziness of Blank Space!
And here is a brief summary of what you can expect in this masterpiece of makeup, hair and singing...
Taylor Swift is known for her gorgeous complexion, so here's how to get it if perhaps you don't wake up flawless (and with a face full of makeup). I don't have a floppy kitten to hold here, so Oliver makes an appearance as my familiar. Products used: Smashbox Photoready Primer, Smashbox BB Cream, Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer.
Even though my hair isn't as short as T.Swift's (or my bangs as long), we can still approximate her glamorously wavy style. Some awkward shout-singing at a mirror happens here and some imaginary hitting on a One Direction member, so be prepared. Products used: Hot Tools 1" Curling Iron, TIGI Bed Head Hard Head hairspray.
Of course we need a look that brings the drama. I mean, if you're going to try to murder a dude, you'd better have good eye makeup IF ONLY for the mugshot. Also I get mad at apples. Products used: MAC eye shadow in Crystal Avalanche (mobile lid), Urban Decay eyeshadow in Perversion (triangle and crease), LORAC Front of the Line PRO liquid eyeliner, MAC Plush Lash Mascara, Anastasia Brow Pomade in Ebony.
Yep, T.Swift is a Dragon Girl and therefore a member of Alle's Army. CALL ME TAYLOR, LET'S BE FRIENDS. Products used: NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm.
The Finishing Touch (1:17)
Oh yeah. You KNOW I wasn't going to leave this out. Products used: MAC Plush Lash Mascara mixed in water, thin paintbrush, emoooootions.
(Also: watch all the way to the end for Oliver being EXTRA cute. I promise you don't want to miss it.)
- What do you think about this look?
- How much do you LOVE 1989? (This is a trick question as the answer is obviously "The maximum legal amount).
- What look should I recreate in video form next?
