Here's how to get her hair and makeup look. Taylor Swift not included.

I’m kind of obsessed with Selena Gomez. She seems incredibly down-to-earth, does cute choreographed dances with her friends, and sings the catchiest songs. In short, she is perfect.

Mostly, Selena manages to make round faces look Good with a capital “G.” And since I’m also a card-carrying member of the Round Face Club, I often look to my girl Selenita for makeup tips.

Her Grammys 2016 look was no exception.

That non-cat-eye cat eye. That perfectly highlighted skin. Those hoop earrings.

Do you want to be Selena, too? I got you.

With the aid of my trusty Urban Decay Naked palette (still my favourite), I went to town to recreate Selena's smoky yet graphic eye look.

First you’ll want to apply some tape along the side of your eye to keep the shape clean. The tape should be at the same angle as you would draw a cat eye.

I used Half Baked, a shimmery copper, all over the lid and then applied Darkhorse, a dark shimmery chocolate, all over the lid, stopping a bit past the crease. I also swept some of the colour along the lower lash line, concentrating on the outer corner of the eye.

I then used The Huntress from Charlotte Tilbury's Nocturnal Cat Eyes to Hypnotize, a gorgeous dark brown with gold specks, on top of Darkhorse, concentrating on the outer corners.

Using a black pencil liner, I drew along the upper lash line and the lower waterline.

I then applied Velour Lashes in T Dot Oooh (trimmed down) and a couple of coats of Love Liner Treatment Mascara to the lower lashes.

I gently removed the tape and slightly blended any harsh lines.

Rollers in, highlight on.

To elongate my face, I am all about very strategic contouring, which is probably another post altogether. This look in particular is definitely all about matte highlighting.

My favourite highlighter for this purpose is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. Because it’s made for the delicate under-eye area, it hardly settles into lines and doesn’t cake. After dabbing concealer under the eye and along the cheekbones, forehead, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow and chin, I blend it all out with a damp sponge.

Next, using my Anastasia Contour Kit, I swirl a mixture of the three contour shades under the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose, and around my temples, hairline and jawline.

Though my hair isn’t as long as Selena’s, I used my trusty hot rollers to get that voluminous, loose curl. For extra hold, I used hairspray on each section before curling, and then again to set. Shake it all out.

On the cheeks, I used my ultimate favourite blush, Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow in Dolline, the prettiest natural peach. Instead of applying directly on the apples, I concentrated on just above where I placed the contour. This also helps to elongate the face. I blended everything together with a fluffy brush.

To finish off, I applied OCC Lip Tar in Memento on the lips.

Set everything with powder, add hoop earrings and you’re good to go! Preferably with your bestie, Taylor.
