Oh man, it’s crazy humid here right now. I have all but given up doing my hair, throwing it back into a struggle ponytail because there is NO POINT in working with my curls when the weather is clammy clam-clam. Gross.

Also, my brain is pretty much on vacation at this point because here in the USA, anyway, this is Memorial Day weekend, which marks the unofficial start of summer and comes with a day off from work. And I don’t know about you? But I could use a break from work life for a hot minute.

Here’s a list of things I plan to do over the long weekend:

A deep-conditioning masque

• Sleep

• Nap

• Rest horizontally

• Drink drinks

• Listen to a lot of Mulatu Astatke

• Buy white jeans

• Hang out on my roof

• Cram delicious edibles into my face cave

• Catch up on back issues of The Gentlewoman and Cherry Bombe

So yeah, enjoy your long weekend, if you have one. And if you don't, maybe you can at least enjoy this Open Thread? Tell us what you're up to! Does it involve Dairy Queen? I wish nothing but Dairy Queen for you.

Administrative Note: We are publishing on a vacation schedule, which means there will still be new goodness for you on Monday, just slightly less of it. Back at it on Tuesday!
