Cara, Cara, Cara... You (and your ample eyebrows) have captured the hearts of many, including mine.

Yes, there was Brooke Shields and Jennifer Connelly before her, but Cara inspired millennials to put down their tweezers (or at least leave them hanging for a little while). Thanks to her, fellow thick-browed ladies rejoiced (or cried because their brows had yet to fully recover years from being tweezed to Level: Sexy Drew Barrymore), and sales of brow makeup increased tenfold. OK, I’m not sure about that last fact, but I’m guessing it has to be true, right?

Anyway, when I saw this particular Cara D. look, I knew I had to try it. Here’s my attempt.

Everything about this.

Using Urban Decay's Naked Palette, I swept Naked, a light, beige-y brown, on the lids up to the crease. I then added a mixture of Buck (a light brown) and Smog (a shimmery bronze) slightly over the crease, as well as on the lower lash line.

Going in with Dark Horse, a medium brown, I lightly lined my lower lash line. For my upper lash line I used liquid liner to make dots in between my lashes; this created the illusion of thicker lashes. I added the pale pink Virgin shade to the inner corners.

I finished with mascara and blue Neo Glamour lenses from Eyecandy’s. The Glamour series lenses are my favorite because they're simultaneously subtle yet strange, and are comfortable to wear as well.

Though my god-given eyebrows are naturally dense and thick, I threaded them into submission in high school. They have yet to recover, so in the meantime I’m using Anastasia Beauty Express Kit For Brows and Eyes in Brunette to pretend they're still there.

For lips, I used OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Grandma, which is lighter than Cara's lipstick, but still has that orange-y tone.

I also contoured my nose with Urban Decay’s Buck, trying to mimicking Cara’s shape as closely as possible, while trying not to go too OTT.

This is where I placed the shading, but you’re gonna have to blend.

I also shaded the underneath the cheekbones to high heavens.

This is what it all looked like.

I think what I love most about Cara is her ability to get goofy. She’s as equally at home oozing 100 percent glamour in the latest high fashion campaign as she is pulling faces in a photo-booth. Mind you, she's effortlessly gorgeous doing both.

Ultimately, this super contoured look doesn’t translate as great IRL as in photos--not everyone is born with cheekbones that can cut glass, and a stripe of bronzer along the cheek can only go so far.

However, I can definitely play with the thick brows while waiting for the castor oil gods to unpunish me for years of Tweezerman abuse.
