I love runway hair and beauty. It lets designers play with how they want their collections to be styled in a way that may or may not be adapted into real life.
Carven's S/S 2014 runway hair was unique enough to bring that cutting edge look to the catwalk, yet subtle enough to translate beautifully onto your own head without much modification.
It's grungy meets polished--a look I fully support. So let me show you how to do it.
First, you need to determine where you want your braid part to be. Using a fine-tooth comb, separate your hair into three sections. The middle section is where we will be French-braiding.
Carefully French-braid the middle section until you get to a sufficient enough length. It gets harder towards the end, so you can stop wherever you want, really. I stopped one inch higher than my ears. Secure with an elastic.
From one side, it just looks like your regular old parting.
But from the other, you may reveal your true genius.
What do you think of the look? Would you try it? I'm going to go with yes.
