I have a crown of fuzzy, annoying baby hairs. They stick up and frizz in all directions if they are not tamed, and even if they are, they just stick up in a more unified way.
In winter, they are staticky and even worse. A lot of people claim that these are due to broken, damaged strands, but I have had these since before flat irons entered in my life.
I was born this way.
I hate that I can’t just throw my hair up and not worry about this frizzy disaster. If I could, I would rarely use my heat tools and give my hair a break. I have done a lot of research on what to do about these little monsters, and even asked my hairdresser, who suffers from this problem herself. She uses bangs to disguise hers.
Other than bangs, there are several options available for taming these suckers. Firstly, I can lump a bunch of products into my hair and slick them down, which is so not a good look.
As you can see, even unruly baby hairs like mine are generally better than a slicked-back look, as the latter is too severe and unforgiving. So, I want some but not all of my baby hairs intact.
Another method I can use for taming them is waxing, which really sounds painful. Imagine getting ingrown hairs around your hairline! Can this happen? I don’t think I could manage that. I can barely remember to epilate my underarms.
Some people opt to laser their baby hairs off like PEW PEW PEW DIE DIE DIE, but I’m not so sure about this. I’m worried that it will leave me looking even worse, like that slicked-back mess, and then I can’t undo it.
So I turn to you: What would you do? Wax them? Shave them? Epilate them? Cauterize them?
